70 year’s continuous and successful journey for Tribal Empowerment’ is the real achievement of ‘Satyaniketan’. ‘Satyaniketan’ has contributed considerably in bringing the tribal population of Akole Tehsil to the mainstream of development. Through its different branches, it has helped in removing the curse of illiteracy. Institutions like Adv. M.N.Deshmukh Arts, Commerce & Science College, Rajur, Guruvarya R.V. Patankar Sarvodaya Vidya Mandir & Junior College, Rajur, Nanasaheb Vithoba Deshmukh Sarvodaya Vidya Mandir, Katalapur, Sarvodaya Vidya Mandir & Junior College, Khirvire, Primary and Secondary Ashram School, Shenit have a great share in spreading educational value and legal awareness among the tribal community. Social service is an integral part of each and every activity of ‘Satyaniketan’.

‘Satyaniketan’ succeeded in improving education, health and basic amenities of the rural and tribal region of Akole, succeeded in changing the hearts and minds of the people also through its systematic work in 70 years. It has assisted governments and public service providers in developing and delivering services which offer a better way of life to the people they serve.

‘Satyaniketan’ has been giving high importance towards academic excellence and providing various opportunities to the students. Besides providing proper education, ‘Satyaniketan’ has also helped in the conduction of various programmes like Literacy, Women Empowerment, Poverty Eradication, Tribal Awareness Camps, Tree-plantation, Watershed Management, Disease Diagnosis Camps, Aids awareness programmes, Superstition Eradication and Employment Schemes for last 70 successful years. ‘Satyaniketan’s’ Short Stay Home succeeded in rehabilitating many women, girls, and families so far.

In the year 1972, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi felicitated Savitribai Madan, founder Treasurer of ‘Satyaniketan’ for her remarkable work in Freedom Fighting Movement as well as her special work for the welfare of tribal people. She was felicitated by giving ‘Tamra Patra’ on the occasion of Independence Day. For its great work in the tribal region, Government of Maharashtra honored ‘Satyaniketan’ with ‘Adivasi Sevak Puraskar’ (Tribal Servant Award) in the year 1988. In the year 1999, Sarda Foundation, Nashik awarded ‘Satyaniketan’ with ‘Nandini Award’. In 2005 ‘Satyaniketan’s’ Adv. M. N. Deshmukh Arts, Science and Commerce College was awarded ‘Best College Award’ by Savitribai Phule Pune University. The College is also awarded ‘Energy Conservation Award’ by Maharashtra Energy Development Agency and ‘Vanshri Award’ by Government of Maharashtra.
